Job summary

JM Fabrication in Arlington, TX is seeking a Production Manager to own the shop floor from release to ship. You will drive master production scheduling across fabrication, machining, welding, paint/finishing and assembly, ensuring on-time delivery and strict quality in a multi-process aerospace environment.

Build and review production data, lead shop teams, coordinate materials and outside processing, and support AS9100 audits while enforcing ITAR controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing or supervising production in a complex, multi-process environment.
• Aerospace and defense experience in an AS9100 environment.
• Reads engineering drawings and GD&T; understands routings, setups, sheet metal, welding and finishing specs.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP scheduling; ProShop experience is a strong plus; advanced Excel for reports.
• Very detail-oriented; you track every job, quantity and date, and you close the loop.
• Proven ability to lead people, run a schedule, and deliver on time under pressure.
• Clear written and verbal communication with leadership, customers and shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Own the master production schedule across fabrication, machining, welding, paint/finishing and assembly.
• Review every open job daily; identify bottlenecks and release with cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain production reports from ProShop ERP; present to leadership.
• Keep ProShop work orders, routings, quantities and job status accurate in real time.
• Lead shop leads and operators; set daily priorities and balance capacity.
• Coordinate material and outside processing to prevent delays.
• Lead recovery plans and on-time delivery improvements for aerospace primes.
• Support AS9100 audits and ensure flow-down requirements are met on the floor.
• Enforce ITAR and controlled-information handling on the shop floor.
