Job summary

Enjet Aero, Llc in New Britain, CT, seeks a Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and on-time delivery. You will lead a team, coordinate priorities, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, aerospace manufacturing experience, and a proven ability to manage people, processes, and production priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, aerospace preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop production teams.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Preferred experience in an AS9100-certified aerospace environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Supervise, coach, and develop production employees, including Leads and Supervisors.
• Establish daily/weekly production priorities based on customer requirements and resources.
• Monitor production performance and take corrective action when goals are not met.
• Ensure processes follow approved work instructions, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Planning, Maintenance to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve throughput.
• Monitor labor utilization, overtime, scrap, rework, and productivity.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and other methodologies.
• Ensure employees are trained and qualified for their work.
• Maintain staffing levels and assign personnel to meet production needs.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with policies, FAA, AS9100 and aerospace standards.
• Review and approve production records and documentation.
• Work with Quality to address nonconformances and trends; participate in audits.
• Support new product introductions, process changes, and improvements.
• Assist with capital equipment planning, facility improvements, tooling, and capacity planning.
• Maintain communication on production status and performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching; manage attendance and disciplinary matters.
• Maintain a clean, safe manufacturing environment; perform other duties as assigned.
