Job summary

Actalent in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to partner with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure the quality of advanced aerospace structures, including composites and metallics. You will manage drawing reviews, process validations, and quality requirements from New Product Introduction to rate production.

You will champion Root Cause & Corrective Action and MRB processes to eliminate production anomalies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in aerospace engineering, manufacturing, or quality.
• Working knowledge of mechanical manufacturing, and CAD systems (NX/SolidWorks/CATIA).
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
• Familiarity with APQP, FMEA, PPAP, GD&T.
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish inspection and acceptance standards for incoming parts and materials in collaboration with the supply chain.
• Develop key quality metrics and optimize the Quality Management System.
• Work hands-on with engineering to resolve ambiguities and stabilize the manufacturing process.
• Own quality planning and drive early-stage engineering of products from prototype to high-rate manufacturing.
