Job summary

G.S. Precision, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Agent to purchase direct and indirect materials supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing. You will manage supplier relationships, purchase orders, and material availability to ensure on‑time delivery.

You will collaborate with Operations, Planning, and Finance to optimize costs, risk, and continuity while adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, or related experience.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from requisition through receipt, including order placement, maintenance, delivery monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Ensure material availability to support production schedules and customer commitments.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite, reschedule, and manage delivery requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers and manage day-to-day supplier relationships.
• Monitor supplier delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness; support supplier performance improvement initiatives.
• Lead RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and support sourcing and supplier selection activities.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, commercial terms, and stocking agreements within established authority levels.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity, performance, and continuity concerns.
• Support cost reduction, cost avoidance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, aerospace quality standards, and applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
