Job summary

G.S. Precision is seeking a Procurement Agent to acquire direct and indirect materials supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing.

The role focuses on supplier relationships, purchase orders, material availability, cost performance, and supply‑chain risk to ensure on‑time delivery for customers. The position collaborates with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Finance to meet business objectives; you will lead RFQs, negotiate terms, and pursue cost reduction in a regulated

Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, or related experience.
Experience managing purchase orders, supplier communications, and delivery schedules.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Manage purchase orders from requisition through receipt, including order placement, maintenance, delivery monitoring, and issue resolution.
Ensure material availability to support production schedules and customer commitments.
Coordinate with suppliers to expedite, reschedule, and manage delivery requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers and manage day‑to‑day supplier relationships.
Monitor supplier delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness; support supplier performance improvement initiatives.
Lead RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and support sourcing and supplier selection activities.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, commercial terms, and stocking agreements within established authority levels.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity, performance, and continuity concerns.
Support cost reduction, cost avoidance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, aerospace quality standards, and applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
