Job summary

Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing is seeking a Process Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support documentation, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement within our aerospace electronics manufacturing environment. You will work directly with engineers, operators, and quality teams to strengthen processes and ensure AS9100 alignment.

The internship offers hands-on learning, exposure to production processes, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful improvements while developing

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Excel, process-mapping tools, or basic CAD.

Responsibilities

• Process Documentation - Update work instructions, process sheets, controlled documents.
• Production Floor Support - Observe assembly steps, gather operator feedback, help resolve minor process issues.
• Time Studies & Data Collection - Collect cycle-time and throughput data to support labor estimates.
• Routing & Workflow Review - Validate routing accuracy and alignment with production practices.
• Lean & Continuous Improvement - Participate in 5S, waste-reduction efforts, and small improvement projects.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
