Job summary

Chromalloy in Windsor, CT is seeking a Process Engineer – Injection Molding to develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for resin molding, protective coatings, chemical cleaning, acid etching, and blending operations in support of aerospace components.

You will drive process improvements to enhance quality, capability, and on-time delivery, while collaborating across manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.
• Experience with resin molding processes and mold design optimization.
• Ability to interpret drawings and engineering documents.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize low-pressure hand-injected resin molds to improve part quality and repeatability.
• Develop and refine resin molding processes including material selection and cure schedules.
• Troubleshoot defects and implement corrective actions to improve quality and yield.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support for production operations and continuous improvement.
• Lead tooling, fixtures, gauging, and equipment development for production cells.
• Establish and maintain process documentation and work instructions.
• Support operator training and coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance.
