Job summary

Parker Lord, part of Parker Hannifin, seeks an Aerospace Precision Machinist for the Erie, PA facility. The role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high‑value aerospace components with strict tolerances.

You will inspect parts with precision instruments, participate in shift handovers, and contribute to LEAN and continuous improvement efforts. A prior 4‑year machining background and fluent English are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Machining high value aerospace products to support Parker LORD Erie facility value streams.
• Work to very close tolerances and ultra-fine finishes on rubber-to-metal bonded parts, forgings, and castings.
• Inspect finished machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to drawings.
• Collaborate with fellow machinists to share best practices and support smooth shift changes.
• Complete manufacturing paperwork and computer transactions accurately and timely.
• Cross-train on various machines to support production needs and machinist growth.
• Demonstrate strong safety and quality commitments and participate in safety and productivity improvements.
• Engage in LEAN initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
