Job summary

Barnes Aerospace Ogden division is seeking a Bencher to perform skilled bench work using hand tools and machinery to bring customer parts to specification. You will read blueprints, measure parts, and ensure conformity to tight tolerances while maintaining safety standards.

The role involves shift work (3:30pm-1:00am with every other Friday 2:30am-11:00pm) and collaboration with production, engineering, and quality teams. High attention to detail and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.
• Proficient with computer systems and shop software.

Responsibilities

• Drill, rivet and assemble parts to close tolerance.
• Use hand tools and machinery to bring parts to spec.
• Use measuring devices to ensure conformity to specifications.
• Prepare parts for inspection and sign off work orders.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality personnel to resolve non-conformances.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures.
