Job summary

Barnes Aerospace West Chester OEM division is seeking two 1st shift and one 2nd shift Bench Operators. The ideal candidates should be quick learners with attention to detail and strong analytical/problem solving skills. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

First shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Responsibilities include visual inspection of parts for nicks, burrs and flaws and repair when possible; operate gauges and measuring equipment to verify

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a production/shop position.
• Able to use advanced math to solve problems and interpret measurements.
• Clear communication with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and plan actions.
• Strong time management to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of parts for nicks, burrs and flaws and repair if possible.
• Operate jigs, fixtures, gauges, calipers, micrometers and height gauges to verify tolerances.
• Use deburr guns, hand tools, and grit blaster for 1st run and rework parts, with manual adjustments as needed.
