Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing power electronics for aerospace/space applications.
• Capture and translate requirements for high-reliability systems.
• Select topologies and control schemes for isolated and non-isolated DC-DC converters.
• Hands-on components selection for demanding environments.
• Proficient in circuit simulation for feasibility and verification.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout for high-reliability electronics.

Responsibilities

• Capture and translate engineering requirements and customer specifications for power electronic systems for space applications.
• Perform conceptual design, including selection of power-stage topology and control schemes.
• Execute detailed design, selecting space-qualified components to meet performance and environmental criteria.
• Develop and implement controller algorithms to optimize converter performance and efficiency.
• Conduct feasibility studies and verify designs through circuit simulation and analysis.
• Produce accurate schematic drawings for power electronic circuits.
• Design PCB layouts and routing to meet space application standards, including reliability and manufacturability.
• Lead board bring-up, troubleshooting, and functional testing of prototypes and production units.
• Iterate designs for manufacturability and reliability in production environments.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering for cohesive product development.
• Support documentation, design reviews, and production transition activities.
