Job summary

Howmet Fastening Systems in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Processing Tech III to set up, operate, and maintain plating equipment, ensuring parts meet print and spec requirements. This on-site role requires hands-on operation of multiple machines and adherence to safety and 5S standards.

You will inspect loads, manage chemical levels, adjust current density, and train others as needed. 3+ years aerospace plating experience preferred; US work authorization required; export-control considerations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aerospace plating experience or relevant industry.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Export-controlled data access; offers conditioned on eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain plating machines and processes.
• Meet government, manufacturing, and environmental specifications.
• Inspect a representative sample of each plating load for coverage and adhesion.
• Maintain plating bath pH and chemical concentrations; purge solutions periodically.
• Train other operators and maintain a clean, 5S workplace.
