Job summary

PacAero in Agawam, MA is seeking a Plating Utility Technician to support multiple plating operations in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You’ll learn procedures, quality requirements and safe chemical handling while assisting the plating team to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, learning new plating processes and working with chemicals in a production setting. Onsite, full-time with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in electroplating, metal finishing or related manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Basic computer skills for production documentation.
• Willingness to learn multiple plating processes and safe chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist across plating operations including blasting, degreasing, chem film and electroplating.
• Support part preparation, handling, cleaning and inspection throughout the process.
• Follow work instructions, SOPs and process requirements.
• Safely handle chemicals, materials and equipment per safety procedures.
• Monitor quality and document production activities.
• Assist with equipment setup and routine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Collaborate with Plating, Quality and other teams to meet production needs.
• Participate in cross-training to develop proficiency across plating ops.
