Precision Castparts is seeking an entry-level Plating Operator in an in-person role based in Utah. You will support the plating department by preparing, cleaning, and inspecting aerospace parts to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

The position emphasizes learning core tasks, safety, and proper handling of parts through racking, cleaning, and post-process steps in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with basic mathematics (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
• Ability to read/write and follow complex written instructions in English.
• Strong attention to detail and accountability in a production environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions for racking, unloading, and cleaning operations.
• Perform receiving inspections and report any damage or discrepancies.
• Rack production parts for plating, passivation, and chemical paint stripping; clean thoroughly.
• Load parts into heated ovens for stress bake and apply protective oil.
• Maintain PPE usage, safety compliance, and organized work area; document and scan parts.
