Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking entry-level Plating Operator Level 1 to learn and support the plating department. Responsibilities include racking, unracking, cleaning aerospace parts, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while following company policies.

Candidates must be self-disciplined, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and capable of handling solvents and PPE requirements. The role involves producing verifications, assisting with process steps, and complying with safety

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods with limited movement.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and assimilating work instructions related to racking, unracking and cleaning operations.
• Perform receiving inspections as needed and report any damage or discrepancy.
• Gathers supplies such as racks, tooling, baskets, carts.
• Racking of production parts for plating and related processes.
• Oiling of parts for corrosion protection.
• Cleaning of production parts including degreasing or solvent cleaning.
• Loading of parts in heated ovens for processing.
• Comply with safety directives and use PPE as required.
• Work with area leadership to prioritise tasks and keep area clean and organized.
• Complete documentation and counting of production parts.
