Job summary

SQA Services, Inc. in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Electrical Quality Inspector to perform receiving inspections of PCBs, PCBAs, and other electronic assemblies at an aerospace and defense facility.

This 6-month contract is 100% onsite with a 1st shift schedule, requiring hands-on inspection of electronic hardware and adherence to IPC workmanship standards. The ideal candidate will interpret engineering drawings, review CoCs and test records, operate microscopes, multimeters, and other

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance and inspection experience.
• 3+ years of experience with ESD controls and IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.
• 3+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspections of PCBs, PCBAs, and electronic components and assemblies.
• Inspect electronic hardware for workmanship, quality, and compliance with engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and IPC standards.
• Use inspection equipment such as microscopes, UV light sources, multimeters, precision scales, and dimensional measuring tools.
• Review Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), test records, material certifications, and First Article Inspection Reports.
• Document inspection results, identify nonconformances, and coordinate resolution with Quality and Engineering teams.
• Support MRB activities and nonconformance reporting (NCR).
• Process inspection results and material transactions in ERP systems.
• Verify that inspection and test equipment is properly calibrated.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to resolve issues and improve inspection processes.
