Impulse Space is hiring a PCB Layout Design Engineer in Redondo Beach to develop PCBs for our next generation of space vehicles. You will work closely with electrical, RF, mechanical, test and firmware teams to enable rapid, reliable PCB development.

Responsibilities include multilayer PCB layout, component placement, routing optimization, and IPC-compliant designs. You will maintain libraries, review footprints, and manage DFM/DFM reviews with fabrication partners.

Formación

• 4+ years of professional PCB layout/design experience.
• Expert proficiency with Altium Designer.
• Strong knowledge of high-density, high-speed digital layouts and signal integrity.
• Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221/7351/ A-600/610).

Responsabilidades

• Design multilayer PCB layouts from schematic to fabrication release.
• Ensure routing, impedance control, thermal management and EMI/EMC.
• Review footprints, 3D models, and layout constraints.
• Prepare Gerbers, drill files, BOMs and netlists.
• Conduct DRC/LVS/DFM reviews and coordinate with fabs/contract manufacturers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability.
