Job summary

Eaton Aerospace Group in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Part Inspector A on 1st shift to perform in-process and incoming inspections of aerospace components. You will review paperwork, generate inspection reports, and use precision equipment including CMM, gages, and surface plates. Prior experience with close-tolerance parts is required.

Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of related inspection experience, and must be U.S. persons due to export controls.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5 years related experience in mechanical inspection of highly complex, close tolerance products.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Los Angeles, (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information and requires the candidate to be a U.S. person as defined by U.S. export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspects incoming and in-process aerospace components visually and dimensionally for conformance to drawings and specifications.
• Produces inspection reports and signs off products or flags discrepancies.
• Operates precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) and applies ASME Y14.5 tolerances.
• Supports SQE in supplier audits and communicates issues to suppliers.
