Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Saw Operator in El Monte, CA to set up and operate saws for cutting honeycomb panels and liners for aircraft. You will report to the Shipping Supervisor and perform setup, inspections, measurements, trimming, ERP updates, and transfer to QC.

Responsibilities include reviewing GPS, checking dimensions, recording throughput, clean-up, and working flexible shifts with overtime and weekends. Equal opportunity employer and ITAR/EAR compliance may apply.

Qualifications

• Sufficient English skills - speak, read, write and understand all company documents.
• Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Reviews GPS and production orders prior to cutting and sets up accordingly.
• Pre-inspects products for quality imperfections.
• Checks dimensions using measuring tape and micrometers.
• Trims product according to GPS and production order.
• Counts and records product throughput by part number, updates ERP system.
• Places material on appropriate skids after cutting and transfers to QC.
• Cleans work area daily and follows Clean-As-You-Go.
• Operates manual and computer-controlled panel saws and related barcode equipment as needed.
• Available to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
