Position

Saw Operator – responsible for setting up and operating saws for cutting core.

Responsibilities

• Cut material according to shop planner and GWI specifications.
• Make set up and checks thickness and dimensions after first part is being cut out.
• Constantly checks material thickness and density.
• Records all required data.
• Counts, cleans and covers up material after the order is completed.
• Must be available to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
• Other essential duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 - 2 years of related material cutting/sawing experience and/or training.
• Forklift Certification a plus.
• Must have an acceptable Audiometry test.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or equivalency.
• Must have English reading and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, understand and communicate the company operating procedures and policies.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied.
• Must be available to work the shift specified by the position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekends/holidays.
