ST Engineering MRAS in Baltimore is seeking a skilled painter to perform preparatory duties and apply primer, finish coat, firecoat, and ablative coatings on various assemblies, ensuring conformity with specifications. The role requires reading drawings, color matching, and operating automatic paint spray equipment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED Equivalent. Min of three years in identical or related work.
• Ability to read drawings/sketches and follow specifications.
• Technical knowledge of brush and spray painting, ablative materials, and color matching.

Responsibilities

• Determine areas to prime/paint from drawings or specs.
• Ensure areas are cleaned, masked and ready for finish; match paint type/color.
• Mix paint per specs, thin to proper viscosity, apply coatings to assemblies.
• Operate paint spray equipment and drying ovens; perform touchups when needed.
• Instruct and direct lower graded employees in their work; ensure PPE compliance.
