Job summary

Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a Lead Electrostatic Spray Painter in St. Inigoes, MD. Day shift, on-site, with active DoD Secret clearance. You will coat aircraft and related structures using spray booths and PPE, following engineering drawings and TDs to support NAVAIR programs.

Requirements include 3+ years of coating experience, a valid Maryland driver’s license, and the ability to read drawings. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and occasional fabrication for test articles.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
• Valid Maryland driver's license.
• 3+ years painting/coating experience on aluminum, steel, composites.
• Able to read engineering drawings and follow TD/SDS.
• Ability to follow workflows and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply coatings per specifications.
• Operate coating equipment inside a controlled booth with PPE.
• Select appropriate coating application equipment per design.
• Maintain coatings inventory ensuring HazMat compliance.
• Fabricate and assemble components for test articles.
• Work from blueprints and technical publications.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Perform preventive maintenance on coating equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians as a team.
