Job summary

ITT Inc. in the United States is seeking a skilled Product Painter to perform preparation work and paint parts to completion in aerospace and manufacturing environments.

You will apply masking, mix paints and catalyst, operate spray equipment, cure coatings in ovens, perform touch-ups and surface finishing, and ensure parts meet quality standards while adhering to safety rules and respirator requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of recent experience in paint preparation, painting, sanding and scuffing in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read English specifications, instructions and safety rules.
• Medically cleared to wear a respirator and able to be fit tested.

Responsibilities

• Apply masking tape or other material over parts not to be coated.
• Mix paints and catalyst and operate spray equipment.
• Regulate spray width and pressure per technique and coating requirements.
• Clean spraying equipment and maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate oven to cure coatings and perform touch-ups.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling, grinding and smoothing.
• Prime or paint surfaces after body repair when required.
• Visually inspect surfaces to ensure quality results.
