Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) in Mentor, OH, seeks a Paint Technician to apply protective paints to turbine engine components. You will prepare surfaces, mix coatings, and operate spray equipment with attention to thickness and finish per work instructions.

You’ll learn through our extensive training program and work alongside experienced technicians, expanding your skills and responsibilities as you progress in the role.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum in a manufacturing environment with paint application experience.
• Ability to read shop drawings and work instructions and document results.
• Experience with measuring devices such as scales, micrometers, and calipers.
• Knowledge of overhead crane operation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Prepare surfaces and set up fixtures for painting.
• Mix paint and load spray equipment per guidelines.
• Perform spray tests and adjust for proper thickness.
• Apply coating to non-masked areas with even coverage.
• Inspect with light-based criteria and document results.
• Remove masking materials and clean equipment.
• Bake parts in curing ovens as required.
• Record information accurately on documentation.
• Routinely use cranes and handling equipment for loading.
• Perform surface prep such as grit blasting and masking.
• Complete final inspection as a certified paint inspector.
