Job summary

Luminescent Systems, a division of Astronics Corporation, is seeking hands-on production teammates in East Aurora, NY to help build aerospace components in a clean, climate-controlled facility.

You’ll learn and apply painting and assembly skills on a 9/80 schedule with no weekend shifts, benefits, and opportunities to grow within a global aerospace group. Join a collaborative team focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and be a team player.
• Ability to use basic computer systems to track production.
• Previous manufacturing or paint experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Use airbrushes, HVLP spray guns, screening tables, gun washing equipment, paint booths, measuring equipment and ovens.
• Perform spraying of clear coat, paint on fronts and backs, paint for finals, paint I, paint on Avionics, paint on GDLS.
• Perform screening on panels, metal, and GDLS.
• Balance INCN and EL panels, Avionics product, and GDLS.
• Perform all sanding and flipping tasks.
• Follow detailed work instructions and blueprints to ensure high-quality production.
• Work with a collaborative team to solve problems and keep production moving.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and help streamline processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
