Job summary

Primus Aerospace is seeking a dependable painter to join our manufacturing team in Maryland. You will prepare aerospace components for painting, apply primers and coatings, and ensure quality and safety in a production environment.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and the physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work with PPE. This is a full-time position with benefits and a 3rd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace painting preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistency and precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aerospace parts and components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface prepping.
• Apply primers, coatings, and paint finishes according to specifications and work instructions.
• Inspect painted parts for quality, consistency, and proper coverage.
• Operate spray painting equipment and maintain painting tools and materials.
• Mix paints and coatings to required specifications.
• Ensure proper handling and movement of parts throughout the paint process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE.
• Work closely with production, quality, and assembly teams to meet deadlines and production goals.
