Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Columbus, GA, is seeking a Paint & Coating Technician to play a critical role in restoring jet engine components. You'll be responsible for preparing, masking, and finishing engine parts while ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of mechanical experience in manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, aviation, military, or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret operation sheets, process instructions, and basic technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare jet engine components for coating through cleaning, masking, blasting, and surface preparation processes.
• Apply coatings and finishes in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Set up and operate blast booths and spray equipment.
• Perform self‑inspections and peer inspections.
• Inspect finished components and troubleshoot coating defects.
• Complete required documentation in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.
