Job summary

Kirkhill, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead development, launch, and support of plastic fastening solutions for aerospace interiors. You will bridge customers, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to drive programs from concept to production.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 3+ years in product development, and hands-on experience with injection molded components, CAD tools, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in product development and manufacturing environments.
• Experience with injection molded plastic components.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and ability to create detailed 2D drawings with GD&T.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI projects from customer requirements through production launch.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and technical deliverables to meet milestones.
• Coordinate design reviews, risk assessments, and validation activities.
• Serve as primary technical contact for customers throughout development and support.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specs, and test plans.
• Define mold tooling requirements and collaborate on mold design and validation.
• Support process validation, first article inspections, and production readiness.
