Job summary

Piasecki Aircraft Corporation seeks a Project Engineer/DFMA Lead to drive cost reduction and manufacturing cycle times across our aerospace portfolio, starting with KARGO II. You will plan, design, analyze, and test complex aerospace systems, collaborating with design, manufacturing, quality, and program management to meet milestones and delivery goals.

The role requires 10+ years of hands-on design/test experience, strong 3D modeling skills, and the ability to make dynamic shop-floor decisions.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years hands-on design and/or test experience.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis to determine optimal technical approaches.
• Manage release packages and downstream task planning.
• Coordinate with vendors and shop floor for rapid prototype fabrication.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans including manufacturing procedures.
• Oversee BOM procurement and milestone tracking.
• Provide guidance and training to engineering staff and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and contractual requirements.
