Job summary

Seal Dynamics, a HEICO Aerospace company, seeks a New Product Sourcing Specialist for its NPDG in Tampa, FL. You will identify and qualify suppliers for new components and work with engineering and NPI teams to optimize manufacturability and cost.

You will manage RFQs, NDAs, and supplier agreements, assess risks, and drive supplier readiness with AS9100 compliance. Strong Excel and ERP/MRP proficiency and aviation sector experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in new product development, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, metal forming, castings, composites or other aviation related commodity groups.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and FAA aerospace quality requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Aviation-related experience and familiarity with aircraft technical documentation is a plus.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and sourcing analytics tools.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing principles, cost modeling, and value engineering.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Source and qualify suppliers for new components, materials, and assemblies aligning with engineering, quality and customer requirements.
• Partner with engineering and NPI teams early in product development to ensure manufacturability, lead time, and cost targets.
• Coordinate NDA execution for new suppliers and manage RFQs/RFPs, analyzing cost structures and negotiating terms.
• Evaluate sourcing risks and identify opportunities for cost optimization and long-term agreements.
• Research aircraft technical publications for required technical documentation.
• Coordinate sourcing activities with NPI, engineering and project teams to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and quality to ensure supplier performance meets standards.
• Drive supplier readiness for new product introduction, ensuring capacity and AS9100 compliance.
• Maintain records of sourcing decisions and supplier performance in ERP.
