Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking an NDT Level 2 Inspector (2nd Shift) in Mobile, AL to perform diverse NDT inspections across A220 and A320 programs.

You will interpret drawings, develop inspection techniques, train teammates, and ensure safety and quality across production processes. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, reporting, and continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment at the US facility.

Qualifications

• Associates' degree in Aviation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years' experience in setting up and conducting tests on parts and materials.
• NAS410/EN4179 Level II in ET/PT/UT or equivalent.
• Aerospace NDT testing experience.
• Experience using testing equipment including maintenance and calibration.
• Basic computer and MS Office skills.
• Familiarity with advanced materials inspection.
• Knowledge of AWS/ASME/ASTM standards.
• Experience with portable NDT equipment such as Olympus/EPOCH 650, USM Go/Go+, NORTEC 600, Olympus 38DL+.
• Preferred: 2+ years in manufacturing, aviation environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a large diversity of NDT inspections (ET, UT, PT) across A220 and A320 programs.
• Interpret, evaluate, and report findings to production and engineering teams.
• Interpret and review engineering drawings as required.
• Develop NDT techniques for complex geometries and confined spaces.
• Assist in training and developing others within the team.
• Conduct tests to verify part quality and identify discontinuities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare inspection reports and related documents.
• Review production schedules to meet deadlines.
• Contribute to internal Quality Gates and KPI tracking.
• Support LEAN initiatives and Kaizen efforts.
• Ensure all processes are followed.
