Job summary

AAR Corp. is seeking an NDT Level II Inspector to perform non-destructive testing of aircraft and components at our Miami, FL location. You will set up and conduct NDT inspections, evaluate indications, and document results in compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years experience in aircraft NDT.
• Level II certification for one or more applicable NDT disciplines.
• Ability to read and interpret AD’s, S/B’s, SRM’s, industry NDT specifications and other work instructions.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements of FAR 145 repair station.
• FAA A&P License preferred.
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with customer policies and procedures.
• Be proficient in setting up and conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft and Components.
• Set-up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
• Develop work instructions from approved general procedures when required by written practice (final approval by Level III).
• Direct and carry out tests in the method certified.
• Organize and report test results and maintain familiarity with NDT manuals and reference materials.
