Job summary

AAR in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced NDT Level II inspector to perform non-destructive testing on aircraft components in compliance with customer work instructions and AAR procedures.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, interpreting indications, and documenting results to determine acceptance or rejection. Familiarity with FAR 145 repair standards and aircraft maintenance knowledge is expected.

Qualifications

• Level II certification for one or more applicable NDT disciplines.
• 3-4 years experience in aircraft NDT.
• Ability to read and interpret AD’s, S/B’s, SRM’s, industry NDT specifications and other work instructions.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements of FAR 145 repair station.
• FAA A&P License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with customer policies and procedures.
• Be proficient in setting up and conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft and Components.
• Set-up and standardize equipment; interpret and evaluate results for Acceptance or Rejection.
• Develop work instructions when required and have them approved by Level III.
• Conduct system performance checks per process standards.
