Job summary

RTX, a leader in aerospace and defense, is seeking an on-site Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) Inspector in Middletown, CT. You will perform various non-destructive testing methods on engine cases, document outcomes, and support collaboration with engineering and quality teams.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED with 1 year of NDT-related experience, NDT Level 2 certification, and familiarity with MS Office and SAP. Prior aviation repair experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) with a minimum of 1 year related experience.
• SAP experience is a plus
• NDT Level 2 certification
• 1 year of related experience/education in various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods
• Experience in aviation component repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) and related NDT methods to parts and verify conformance to work instructions.
• Clean and process parts using FPI Booth and inspect internal case structures with required equipment.
• Prepare and complete inspection documents and stamping to indicate acceptability of parts.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, labs, operations, and materials as needed.
• Review work instructions, repair requirements, and blueprints; use inspection tools and fixtures.
