Job summary

Woodward Inc. in Santa Clarita, CA is seeking an experienced NC Grinder for a contract role through December 2027. You will set up and operate NC grinding machines, inspect parts, read drawings and GD&T, and ensure tight tolerances in aerospace-grade components.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating NC/CNC grinding machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments to inspect components.
• Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate NC grinding machines to manufacture precision components.
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Use micrometers, gauges and indicators to verify accuracy.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain quality and consistency.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining issues to minimise defects.
• Follow safety procedures and document production activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
