Ace Precision in Oconomowoc, WI is seeking a driven Multi-Axis Laser Technician to operate advanced laser systems that cut, drill, and process precision components for aerospace programs.

You will interpret engineering sketches and process sheets, inspect parts with precision measuring tools, and adjust machine parameters while maintaining strict AS9100 and NADCAP standards. Join a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with laser systems (Fiber, YAG, CO2) or CNC background.
• Comfort with CNC-type interfaces and G-code.
• Ability to interpret sketches and follow work instructions with tight tolerances.
• Safety-focused mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor multi-axis laser machines for cutting, drilling, marking, or trimming sheet metal components and finished goods.
• Read engineering sketches, job routers, and process control sheets for accurate part processing.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, CMM reports, and visual inspection.
• Adjust machine parameters, align optics, load programs, and verify proper beam quality.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on lasers, motion systems, and fixturing.
• Maintain accurate production records and follow aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP).
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve problems and support continuous improvement.
• Follow all laser safety and general manufacturing safety procedures.
• Maintain machine performance through routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
