Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a Liaison Engineer for the Leo Structural Integrity and Analysis team. You will review non-conformances, develop repairs and DFMs, and perform root-cause analysis across manufacturing and assembly processes for spacecraft and ground support equipment.

The role requires MRB experience in aerospace, strong fundamentals in engineering, and hands-on collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering teams. On-site in Kirkland, WA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years as Liaison Engineer / MRB in aerospace/spacecraft/launch-vehicle structures.
• Experience designing complex mechanical products at volume.
• Strong fundamentals in statics, dynamics, modal, frequency response, random vibration, sine and acoustic analyses/tests.
• Experience with fatigue and fracture analyses.
• Knowledge of spacecraft technology and related structures.
• Familiarity with MES.
• Strong GD&T understanding.
• Strong ANSI Y14.5M-1994 drawing interpretation.
• Experience with Siemens Products (Teamcenter, NX, NX Nastran).

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition non-conformance events across procurement to orbital operations.
• Develop standard repairs and DFMs; propose manufacturing improvements and work instructions.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Document static, dynamic and fatigue analyses to support dispositions.
• Develop analysis methods to address common non-conformances.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering to perform root-cause failure analyses.
• Interact with internal and external customers and suppliers.
