Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Reston, VA invites applications for a Modelling and Simulation Engineer within a multi-discipline team developing real-time simulation platforms and hardware-in-the-loop environments for engine control software testing.

You will design, integrate, test, and maintain modelling solutions, mentor engineers, and present technical data to senior staff. This role requires a strong background in C/C++, Python, and CI tooling, with a US citizenship prerequisite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ STEM with 2+ years of software engineering development experience, or Master’s with 0+ years, or PhD with 0+ years.
• US Citizenship required for eligibility.
• Experience with real-time modelling, simulations and continuous physics-based modelling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and develop modelling solutions for real-time simulation test platforms.
• Integrate, test and troubleshoot physics-based models coded or from Simulink.
• Mentor engineers to improve technical capability and project performance.
• Present technical data to senior engineers, management and customers.
