Job summary
Rolls-Royce plc in Reston, VA is seeking a Modelling and Simulation Engineer-Aerospace for a hybrid role with three days in the office. You will work in a multidiscipline team to develop, test and integrate hardware and software test environments used for engine control software and hardware-in-the-loop investigations, coordinating with project teams, customers and vendors.
The role requires a STEM degree and hands-on software development in C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, UNIX/Linux and CI
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering/ STEM with 2+ years software engineering experience.
- Master’s in Engineering/STEM with 0+ years software engineering experience.
- PhD in Engineering/STEM with 0+ years software engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Planning, designing and developing modelling solutions of real-time simulation test platforms.
- Integration, testing and troubleshooting of physics-based models.
- Mentor engineers to improve technical capability and project performance.
- Presenting technical data to senior engineers, management and customers.
