Job summary

Beehive Industries seeks a Metallurgical Technician, Contractor, to support metallographic preparation and validation of additively produced aerospace parts at our Loveland, OH facility. You will prepare samples, section, mount, polish, and image them with optical and SEM microscopes, and perform hardness testing.

Ideal candidates have a two-year science/engineering degree and lab experience, with strong communication and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a high school diploma; two-year science/engineering degree preferred.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience is a plus.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process metallic samples for microscopic examination using metallographic techniques.
• Section, mount, polish, etch, and image parts and materials for examination.
• Operate optical and scanning electron microscopes for image analysis of metallic samples.
• Perform metallic powder testing (size analysis, chemistry).
• Conduct hardness and microhardness testing.
• Document results and generate reports for analysis.
• Maintain lab equipment and procure consumables.
• Develop and optimize standard operating procedures.
