Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Metallurgical QA Lab Technician to support quality assurance and metallurgical testing in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You will prepare samples, perform lab testing, evaluate results against engineering requirements, and help ensure quality and reliability of critical aerospace components.

Responsibilities include preparing mounts, conducting metallurgical evaluations, and generating reports while coordinating external testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma; able to read instructions, SOPs and safety rules.
• Strong report-writing and data interpretation abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic math operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare chemistry and metallurgical samples and mounts for analysis.
• Perform metallurgical evaluations with microscope and lab equipment.
• Conduct routine analyses using LECO, XRF and other testing equipment.
• Evaluate results against customer and engineering specs.
• Generate lab reports and document findings.
