Element Cincinnati is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to join our Aerospace Testing team. The role focuses on fracture mechanics, fatigue, and structural integrity, providing leadership in mechanical testing and data interpretation.

You will develop methods, validate test data, and present findings to customers and internal stakeholders, contributing to certification and life-prediction efforts in aerospace materials and components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or testing-related field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-degree engineering experience or advanced academic credentials.
• Ability to apply academic knowledge within Element’s business context.
• Strong understanding of testing concepts and fracture mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership in aerospace mechanical testing with emphasis on fracture mechanics, fatigue, and structural integrity.
• Develop and implement new testing methods, fixtures, and technologies in the local lab.
• Release test data accurately and timely, including quality control data review and sign-off.
• Guide non-routine tests under supervision and increase technical independence over time.
• Oversee routine testing activities and data validity, and troubleshoot equipment performance.
• Interact with customers on test methods, standards, and results interpretation.
