Specter Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, and operation of hypersonic flight systems. Working alongside engineers, technicians, and test personnel, this role builds and maintains prototype hardware and supports rapid design iterations in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly or related fields.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in lab/test environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and aerospace components from drawings and work instructions.
• Support prototype development, integration, and testing activities.
• Perform precision drilling, machining, fabrication, and fitting.
• Assist with environmental, propulsion, and system-level testing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with engineering teams and document results.
• Maintain accurate build records and test documentation.
• Operate shop tools safely and keep workspace organized.
• Travel up to 10% for test activities.
