Job summary

RTX’s Melbourne, FL facility is seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering co-op to gain hands-on experience on manufacturing engineering methods and techniques. You will explore Surface Mount Technology and Through Hole processes, measuring and improving these processes on the production floor.

You will collaborate with Industrial Engineers and Production Managers to identify inefficiencies, develop cost-benefit analyses, and contribute to lean initiatives including 5S and standard work

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and enrolled through co-op.
• Minimum 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident (Green Card).

Responsibilities

• Provide production floor support for manufacturing processes.
• Assist in process-related projects including verification/validation of process equipment.
• Develop time standards and implement lean improvements.
