RTX in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering co-op to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering methods and techniques. The role focuses on Surface Mount Technology and Through Hole processes, with exposure to measurement, analysis, and process improvement.

Applicants should be pursuing a related degree, have at least 60 credit hours, and be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident (“Green Card” holder).

Responsibilities

• Provide production floor support for manufacturing processes.
• Assist in various process-related projects, including Lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineers and Production Managers to identify inefficiencies and implement productivity improvements.
