Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. invites a motivated Aeromechanical Engineering Intern to contribute to UAV system development. You will work with experienced engineers on mechanical design, prototyping, and testing of airframe components in a hands-on IPT setting.

The role emphasizes applying classroom knowledge to real aerospace challenges, including design trade-offs, material selection, and integration with multidisciplinary systems onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD tools, especially SolidWorks, is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop airframe structures for UAV systems.
• Create and modify 3D models in SolidWorks.
• Assist in prototype fabrication, 3D printing, and lab testing.
• Prepare engineering drawings and BOMs for documentation.
• Support technical reviews and team collaboration.
