Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering co-op for full-time, weekday sessions from May/June through December. You will work with Electric Power Systems, supporting generators and motors from design to field interaction, with exposure to customer discussions and product support.

The role offers learning in requirement discussions, product design, and testing, plus opportunities to travel and engage in team activities.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with MATLAB or Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Creo, SolidWorks, and/or NX

Responsibilities

• Support the Electric Power Generator and Motor product lines in a variety of different ways.
• Interact with customers and provide support to them and their products in the field.
• Gain experience with the professional workplace support, interaction, responsibility etc.
• Travel opportunities may occur depending on what role you are supporting.
• Support team activities (writing CRs, supporting test, supporting assembly, writing reports and other documents).
