Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op in Elyria, OH. The role involves supporting manufacturing/assembly engineering, tooling development, and cell design under supervision of a Mechanical Engineer.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA and facilities in CAD (Pro-E/AutoCAD) and MS Office. This is an onsite co-op with cross-functional collaboration across Design, QA and Purchasing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• CAD drafting/3‑D modeling experience (Pro-E and/or AutoCAD preferred).
• NC programming experience is a plus.
• Geometric tolerance knowledge (GD&T) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists Mechanical Engineer on projects with clear objectives.
• Coordinates with Design Engineering, Supervisors, Quality, and Purchasing to plan and complete projects.
• Supports process development, tooling, systems and process improvements, cell design and layout.
• Maintains and communicates project status and documentation.
