Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Tucson, AZ to support concept development, design, analysis and testing. You will work under supervision with an Engineering team lead and present technical work to review boards. The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, 3D modeling, and Adidas?

(note: strictly information from ad) preparation of justification analyses. The internship requires a STEM degree pursuit, 60+ credits by start, and on-site work with potential exposure to production

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and Creo modeling is preferred.
• Familiarity with Windchill and configuration management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support concept development, detailed design, analysis, integration and test.
• Assist with transition to production efforts and factory support.
• Provide root cause / corrective action and problem resolution at on-site labs and suppliers.
• Present technical justification analyses to Engineering Review Boards.
