Job summary

SNC in Plano, TX, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to help design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace and defense projects. You will assist in test planning, perform basic analyses, and document results while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet CAD-driven design requirements.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 0–2+ years of experience, with familiarity in GD&T, CAD, and CAE tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 0–2+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and CAD.
• Familiarity with CAE tools.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of mechanical components and systems.
• Support the creation and execution of test plans for mechanical products.
• Perform basic analyses and simulations to validate designs.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports for review.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design requirements are met.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design and testing issues.
